Givatayim
Givataim is a city bordering on the east with Tel Aviv and from the west with Ramat Gan.
The name of the city translates as "two hills".
Givataim was founded in 1922 by a group of repatriates from Second Aliya under the leadership of David Schneiderman. The first land of 300 dunams, acquired by them, has now become the urban Borokhov district.
Givatayim received the city status in 1959.
Most of the inhabitants of Givatayim are immigrants from Europe.
The standard of living in the city is above the national average.
